A “sense of a foreshortened future”
versus the sense that “all is possible”
A highly creative person who doesn't have an external project to invest their energy into will eventually destroy themselves from within because the only project they have is the project of "fixing" themselves and that becomes a never-ending project in which they always find the next thing that's wrong with them because they need to keep the project going because (creative) energy cannot disappear and keeps seeking expression but the only channel of expression they have is the one of "fixing" their "broken" self.
